The book elicited emotions in me that I had buried. It made me more empathetic towards others and made me change my attitude. Be kind to others, for you don’t know what they’re going through. It made me realize that being resilient and fighting for what’s right and having a voice gets you far. The writing style is great. It’s an easy read and it flows smoothly. It’s detailed to the point that you feel your toes curl and your heartbeat speed up, and your eyes water. A great book.
